What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing and translates to ‘universal life force energy’. Reiki is practised for stress reduction and relaxation and promotes healing to the body. It works on the 7 chakra energy centres of our body and assists with identifying energetic blockages and aims to remove these blockages by diversion, acknowledgement, or grounding. If one’s life force energy is blocked or low, we are more likely to become stressed and emotionally, mentally, and physically unwell. Reiki is performed by an attuned practitioner and is done so by placing their hands upon different areas of the clients’ body and leaving them there for a few minutes for the Reiki energy to help permeate the energy body. This process allows time for the Reiki life force energy to travel to any blockages that need identifying and healing.

Reiki energy healing is a very relaxing holistic treatment and clients often comment about how it leaves them feeling very calm and reassured. Reiki aids in treating the whole person holistically- body, mind, spirit, and can leave people with feelings of security, peace, and wellbeing within. Quite often, the session can bring to light some deep-seeded emotions/issues that have been suppressed or unacknowledged which may be responsible for the blockages. This acknowledgment and expression of emotions can have lasting miraculous positive effects afterwards. Reiki is a very safe, simple, and loving practice and can be applied to everyone who is willing to allow the Reiki energy into their energy body. Reiki aims to heal everyone regardless of beliefs or limitations and is done so with the utmost form of universal unconditional love.
